Overview
Annie holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. While in law school, she participated in national and international moot court competitions, including the Bowman National Tax Moot and the John H. Jackson Moot, where her team won Best Complainant Written Submission in North America.
Annie has extensive experience working with diverse communities. She helped individuals with criminal records find employment through her placement at the John Howard Society of Toronto. She promoted access to justice for people with disabilities through her internship with Reach Canada. She assisted low-income tenants with housing issues through her work with the Ottawa ACORN Housing Justice Program. Annie also served on the board of directors for the Quanzhou Association, a community organization that supports the social integration of Chinese immigrants. Annie completed her articles at a boutique personal injury law firm in Toronto, which furthered her passion for client advocacy. Annie’s current practice focuses on family law and helping clients resolve conflicts effectively, whether through litigation or alternative dispute resolution. Outside of work, Annie’s interests include technology, film, live music and fitness. Annie is fluent in Mandarin.
