Overview
Julia had graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School. While at Osgoode Hall Julia had completed an 8 months clinical intensive program with Parkdale one of the busiest community legal aid clinics assisting low income clients with landlord-tenant issues. She had articled and worked with one of the top employment lawyers in Canada, Mr. Stacey Reginald Ball specializing in wrongful and constructive dismissals and human rights. She successfully negotiated settlements for clients, including these who were allegedly fired for cause. Julia is confident representing clients at mediations, arbitrations and trials. She is a zealous and passionate advocate and fights relentlessly for the rights of her clients. There is no case that is too big or too small for Julia. She approaches each and every case with the same level of attention, care and compassion. As a criminal lawyer, Julia works with a leading expert in the field Mr. David Genis.
Julia understands that when a client is charged criminally or has his/her livelihood in jeopardy due to an issue in employment, their life is in turmoil. She takes a client-centered approach where she works as a team with the client providing legal advice, explaining the legal and factual issues, making decisions together and keeping the client informed at every step of the way. Julia aims to alleviate some of the stress experienced by clients by being readily available and providing timely updates. Clients never feel neglected or having to constantly call asking for updates and being unable to get through to their lawyer. Rather, clients are treated as active and equal participants through their legal journey where Julia's role is to guard and fight for their rights and to be at their side through the entire ordeal while working toward the fastest and most-favourable outcome.
Julia is a firm believer that law and justice should be available to all regardless of income levels. She has represented clients at various income levels and will accommodate all financial situations. At no time will access to justice be denied to a client with modest financial means.
At her spare time Julia enjoys volunteering with Lawyers Feed the Hungry. She supports several charities including the Sick Children Hospital. In addition she is a proud owner of 2 dogs and 2 cats some of which have been rescued. |
